KEPTV, Bogor, 21-22 February 2025 — The Women Committee Leadership Training took place in Bogor on February 21-22, 2025, gathering women leaders from various sectors to enhance their skills and leadership capabilities within labor unions.
The training focused on empowering women to take on more significant roles within their respective unions, with an emphasis on establishing women committees at the plant level. Participants engaged in discussions and workshops aimed at improving collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) by incorporating better articles on gender issues.
The Indonesia Women Committee has committed to continuing this essential work, with plans to strengthen women’s leadership structures at both the plant and national levels. By fostering a supportive environment for women in unions, the initiative aims to promote gender equality and ensure that women’s voices are heard in decision-making processes.
The training was marked by collaborative sessions, where participants shared experiences, challenges, and strategies to overcome barriers in their pursuit of leadership roles. The event concluded with a renewed commitment to advancing women’s rights and representation in labor organizations across Indonesia.
